Reuben Boyd McAdams, 87, of Moody, Texas passed away on Thursday October 12, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Moody. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017, Cole Funeral Home, McGregor.
Reuben was born in Waco on May 15, 1930 to Rueben Ellard McAdams and Sarah Wittee McAdams. He graduated from Moody High School and married Mickey Ruth Payne on August 20, 1954, in Moody.
Mr. McAdams was a farmer and retired after 35 plus years as a rural mail carrier. He loved ham radio and antique vehicles, spending time with his family, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Moody
.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Mickey; parents; brother, Donald Floyd McAdams; and sister, Alma Faye Rowe.
Reuben is survived by sons, Randy Boyd McAdams and wife, Dorcas, of Moody, Ronald Ray McAdams of Moody; daughter, Ruth Ann Marburger and husband, David, of Moody; grandchildren, Derek McAdams and wife, Megan, Justin McAdams and wife, Misti, Brandy Gutierrez and husband, Ernest, Zoe Marburger, Devun Marburger, Brandy Marburger, Alexis Marburger, Alex Marburger, Donnie McAdams, Timothy McAdams, Kimberli McAdams; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchilren; and his fur-baby, Krissy.
Pallbearers: Justin McAdams, Derek McAdams, Ernest Gutierrez, Ronnie Marshall and Steve Schleede.

I am so sorry for the loss of Boyd. I just couldn't believe it. Boyd was always such a special person to me. He was the only person in the community that faithfully donated to the ambulance service and with me being in that association it meant alot to me. I loved him dearly and he will be forever missed.
