Robert E. Morrell, Sr. of Marshalls Creek passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the age of 89. He was the devoted husband of Connie (Kileen) Morrell with whom he shared 59 loving years.
Born in Lyndhurst, NJ, Robert was the son of the late Alfred and Caroline (Roescheisen) Morrell. He was a long-time resident of North Arlington, NJ before moving to the Poconos where he resided for 17 years.
An army veteran having fought in the Korean Conflict, Robert later went on to work at Scandia Packaging Machinery Company for 39 years.
Robert had an ever-loving passion for building, fixing and creating and every project was completed with the most pristine touch. His expert workmanship was greatly admired but above all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends filled with laughter and love.
Robert was an adored father, brother and pop. He is survived by his daughter Karen Murphy of North Arlington, NJ; son Robert Jr. Morrell and wife Valerie Morrell of Bushkill, PA; grandchildren Amanda Ruppelli and husband Justin Ruppelli, Brittany Murphy, Samantha Murphy, Sean Murphy, Nicholas Morrell and Drew Morrell. He is also survived by his brother Harold Morrell and wife Joan Morrell, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by Brother George Morrell and Sister Joan Morrell.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17 from 1pm-3pm and then again from 6pm – 8pm at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home Inc. 27 Washington St. East Stroudsburg PA 18301. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
