I worked with Joe for over 5 years at Nicks Shoe Repair. He was an incredible person to work with. I would make leather repairs and his dye jobs of the repairs were so well done and matched so perfectly that you would be hard pressed to be able to tell that anything Joe had dyed had even been "repaired". He made whatever I worked on look good. Besides being a perfect person to work with, Joe was a fine human being. When I was trying to learn how to make a "good" tamale, I would bring one to Joe and he would tell me what it needed. He taught me the importance of having the right amount of cumin. Thank you, Joe. You were one of my most favorite people to have had the pleasure to have known.
