As a younger first cousin, I grew up admiring Ethel for her athletic grace and beauty. She was tall, slim, blond - beautiful! When she was a young wife and mother she had a strong spirit and could do whatever was needed. Her warm smile was matched with uplifting laughter. I will always remember Ethel as one who cared deeply for her family. She truly loved her husband, Rod and her children, Rod, Tori and Connie. Heaven is smiling because she is now there!

I was blessed with not only having the most amazing mom and friend, but also coworker and mentor.
We worked for years together at an oral surgeon's office, she in the operating room, and I at the front desk. After I left there to work in the city, Mom would drop me off at the bus stop before going to work herself. Sometimes we wouldn't quite make the light and would watch the bus pull away. Mom would always chase that bus up Route 45, trying to get me to work on time, and always managed to do it, even if she was a little late for work herself.
Thanks, Mom, for always doing whatever it took to help me get where I needed to be.
My heart breaks a little every morning when I wake up and know I can't give you a call, but you're always, always in my heart.

It was a long time ago and I was just a kid but I can still remember Rod and Ethel dancing at my sisters wedding. I think it was a waltz but it was definitely something you had to know how to do. Anyway, it was only them and maybe one or two other couples on the dance floor. To this day I remember watching them out there and being very impressed. I can't remember which sisters wedding it was but the memory of watching the two of them dance has stuck with me over the years. It's a great memory.

One of my fondest memories of Aunt Ethel was her laugh! Not only was it contagious, it made my heart smile! You will be missed dearly. Love you!

I remember growing up and my siblings and I would always beg our mother to go and spend the day with "Grandma Annable" during her Tupperware deliveries. "Grandma Annable" was the most loving, kind, fun, and later on an amazing "Nana with the Clay" to my son, Ryan. We all love you and miss you very much!

There is a chasm left in my heart. Mom's patient love and gentle way of standing her ground gave her an awesome strength to cherish and care for all those around her. Even though my heart breaks to say good-bye, I know she is with us in every kind act and amusing non sequitur. Love you, mom, forever.
