Shelly passed away at her home on Friday, October 6, 2017.
Shelly was the most loving, caring and giving person you could ever meet.
She loved shopping with her mother, talking to her everyday. Taking her nieces and nephews with her mother to Myrtle Beach Water Parks. Traveled with her mom ,Tom and Grandma Betty to Mexico and once traveled to see her mother when she was living in St. Croix and Venezuela.
Shelly took baton at a young age, twirling her baton as she walked in the Azalea Parade.
She was happiest growing up with her horses, Misty and Tops. She participated in every horse show she could. No fence was too high for her. She loved cross country riding through the forest as a timed event. Shelly was an expert equestrian.
Shelly attended ECU and transferred to Cape Fear Community College, where she received her nursing degree.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenny; step daughter, Chelsea; her loving mother, Betty Robbins- Blake; step father, Tom Blake; brother, Brad and his wife Maria; nephews, Todd Robbins and Gunnar Blake; nieces, Lilly Robbins and Teagan Blake; her loving grandmother, Betty Hewett; uncle, Richard Hewett and his wife Cathy and her loving step mother, Donna Bennett Robbins and cousins, Beth Hewett and Andy Hewett.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry R. Robbins; grandparents, Roger and Thelma Robbins and grandfather, Jack Robinson.
The earth emptied without you. The same way leaves fall from the trees in Autumn. Although lives are busy and go on and on but it is just empty on this earth without you. We all love you Shelly.
A gathering of family and friend to celebrate Shelly's life will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Services.

I would like to express my condolences to all family and loved ones. This is a difficult time and I hope you find some comfort in knowing others care. Shelly was a good neighbor and a very special lady with a loving heart. I'll never forget one sunny afternoon sitting out on the patio, and the two of us singing along with music just having so much fun and laughing. It is a nice memory.
