Dee Wilson, 87, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with funeral services to follow in the chapel. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.





Mrs. Wilson was born on October 6, 1930 in Bude, MS. She married the love of her life, V.J. Wilson on April 22, 1950. She loved to cook, paint, garden, play games, shop, and love on her dog and her family. The Lord was always a comfort in her life.





She is preceded in death by her husband, V.J. Wilson; parents, John E. and Pearl Artman Foster; brother, J.W. Foster of McCall Creek, MS; sisters, Ruby Todd of McCall Creek, MS and Colmetta Myers of Vidalia, LA; one grandchild and one great grandchild.





Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughters, Donna Wade of Richland; Deborah Winkler of Pearl; Denise Payne (Mike) of Clinton, Vanessa Mize (Larry) of Gluckstadt; son, Jay Wilson (Andrea) of Benton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James Foster (Louise) of Vidalia, LA; sisters, Juanita Barletta, Judy Hamilton (Jerry), and Dorothy McFarland (Ralph) all of Meadville, and Betty Touchtone of Lake Charles, LA; and her beloved dachshund, Sammi.





The family requests family and friends celebrate her sweet spirit and life through cut flowers and potted plants which she loved.
