Wilson “Nene” Ramirez Laboy, 84, of Brooksville, FL passed away on Monday, October 16th, 2017. He was born on November 2nd, 1932 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to Juan Ramirez and Maria Laboy. Nene moved to Manhattan, NY in 1960 before moving back to Puerto Rico in 1993 and finally settling in Florida in 2008. He enjoyed working hard in various trades including; carpentry, plumbing, and electric. Nene was a talented contractor and even engineered and helped construct his home in Puerto Rico. He studied theology, earning various certifications and was a Deacon at Iglesia Cristiana in Weeki Wachee, FL. Nene is described as being a positive and happy-go-lucky man who cherished life and all of its challenges. He will be remembered for his strength, humor and determination. Nene is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnnie, Hiran and sister, Sonia. Survivors include his beloved wife of 33 years, Rosemary Ramirez; children, Lily, Papo and Tito; brother, Frankie; sisters, Anna, Blanca, Tati and Iraida; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Turner Funeral Home in Spring Hill on Saturday 10/21 from 4-9 p.m.
