William “Bill” Everett Fritz Jr, 73, of Edelstein passed away at 11:34 am Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his residence.
He was born June 8, 1944 in Peoria, the son of William Sr and Wanda Farnam Fritz He married Earline “Susie” Rosa on June 9, 1963.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years; four children, Michael (Sandra) Fritz of Peoria, Steven (Sarah) Fritz of Gilbertsville, KY, Kaia (Douglas) Coartney of Eureka, and Daniel (Michelle) Fritz or Mossville; Nine grandchildren, Tony (Megan) Fritz, Coartney Fritz, Brittany (Andrew) Scott, Alisabeth Fritz, Caleb Fritz, McKenna Coartney, Hannah Coartney, Samuel Coartney, and Christian Coartney; three great-grandchildren, Faith, Xander, and Luke; four sisters, Joyce Fritz, Phyllis Fritz, Mary (Randy) Bumbalough all three of Marquette Heights, and Linda (Lester)Miller of Galesburg; one brother, David (Denise) Fritz of Eden.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one infant grandchild, Christine.
Bill was a machinist last working for BNSF until his retirement in 2011.
He was interested in history and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 10 am October 23, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Pastor Gordon Fidler will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 1-3:00 pm also at the chapel.
Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family.

I know how Bill affected my future while we were young and he's in my thoughts often. From doing things we shouldn't to discussions about weapons there are many good memories. Family and his devoted wife were everything to him. Wish I could be there to celebrate his life but he'll live on in my mind.
