Faye Elizabeth Exum McCoy of Morrow passed away peacefully on October 17, 2017 at the age of 83. A native of Hapeville, GA, she graduated from Hapeville High School, was a life-long member of Hapeville United Methodist Church, and went to work for Delta Airlines. She met and married Wayne McCoy, and they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. She retired from State Farm Insurance Agency where she worked faithfully for Mr. Donnie Greene. She was a loving wife, devoted mother of two sons, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her including her friends from the Hartwell, Morrow, and Conyers communities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Robert and Clara Exum of McDonough, her sisters Louise and Harrison Garman, Gladys and Virgil Babb, and her brother Jack Exum and brother-in-law Robert Nail. She leaves behind a loving husband, Wayne McCoy, two sons, David and Jan McCoy, Kerry and Bonnie McCoy, six grandchildren: Rev. Christopher and Michelle McCoy, Steven Rouk, Katie McCoy, Trevor McCoy, Meghan McCoy and Will McCoy; two great-grandchildren Daniel McCoy and Rachel McCoy, sister Mrs. Flora Nail, and niece Trudy and Ray Loy and family.
Graveside service will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 11:00 AM at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, GA 30252, with the Rev. Jan McCoy and the Rev. Christopher McCoy officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or to a church of your choice in her memory.
