Maria Antonia Frias Reece, age 96, was called to the presence of the Lord on October 14, 2017 at Christwood Retirement Community in Covington, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walton G. Reece, by her parents, Manuel Antonio Frias and Maria Flores, by her sisters, Mercedes Frias, Angelita Perez, and Cecilia Calderon and by her nephew, Ovidio Perez. She is survived by her brother, Carlos Frias, his wife, Elvia Diaz, and her niece and nephews, Elvia Frias, Manuel Antonio Frias, and Carlo Enrique Frias, all of Puerto Rico and her niece, Mary Johnson, of Orlando, Florida. Mrs. Reece, a faithful Christian, had long awaited her time to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to be with her beloved husband and family in heaven. She is certainly with them now. Friends of Mrs. Reece are invited to attend Christian funeral services at the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2017, with visitation commencing at 1:00 pm.
