Betty Jo Wilder, 79, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in Phoenix, Arizona with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 20, 1938 in Huntington, Texas to the late Johnnie Brown, Jr. and Willie Beatrice Trimble Brown. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years George "G.A" Wilder, daughter Bridgette G. Wilder, son Shapiro Wilder, granddaughter Ramonia Youngblood; great grandson Cayden M. Ali, and her five siblings Jeanette, Walter, Shirley and Faye.
Before moving to Arizona, Betty and her family lived in Farmington, NM for over 50 years. She was well known in the community and was very active in all her children's sporting events. Betty worked as a care giver for 20 years before she retired. She loved the Lord, spending time with her family and entertaining guest. One thing she really enjoyed was cooking and baking. We will greatly miss her Navajo Taco's and Pound cake.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Gary W. Wilder, Glenn A. Wilder, George Eric Wilder and wife Leoma, Lisa A. Wilder, Kelvin Patrick Wilder and wife Carla, Deborah L. Wilder Gauthier and husband Terrence, Joseph McCoggle and wife Lois, and Arsimmer Wilder McCoy and husband Kenneth; 22 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; her aunt Alean Ellis and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 27, 2017 with a visitation one hour prior at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, Arizona. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.

Condolences to the family of this dear lady, Betty. She helped care for my grandmother during the last 3 years of her life. Betty was always a joy to be around and she could always bring a smile to my grandmother's face. We all appreciated her warmth and kindness. Thank you for sharing her with us. God bless you all.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Betty. She was a wonderful lady. I have such good memories of her and George. Heaven gained a beautiful person.
