Paulo "Paul" Rodriguez, 55, of Port Lavaca, passed away on October 20, 2017. Paul was born in Port Lavaca to the late Cheno and Felícitas Rodriguez on February 13, 1962. He worked as a machinist for 36 years, and was dedicated to both his trade and family. His greatest joy was seeing and experiencing his kids and grandkids make their way through life. He loved music; one of his favorite past times was attending concerts with family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous heart, and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Juan Lorenzo Rodriguez, Sr. and Cheno Rodriguez, Jr.; and sisters, Mary R. Escobar and Juanita Rodriguez.
He is survived by his daughters, Melanie (John) Cortez, Jamie Ybarra, Stefanie (Erik) Soliz; son, Paul A. Rodriguez, Jr.; brothers, Jesse J. Rodriguez, Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Jorge Rodriguez, and Joe Henry Rodriguez; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Richardson- Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Point Comfort, with Fr. Tommy Chen of Our Lady of the Gulf officiating. Burial will follow at the Port Lavaca Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse J. Rodriguez, Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Jorge Rodriguez, Joe Henry Rodriguez, Paul A.
