Julieanna Shedrawy, age 48, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was the devoted wife of Mark Sanz Shedrawy and mother of two beautiful daughters, Madison (17) and Mikalya (10).
Julieanna was born on December 19, 1968 in Virginia Beach, Virginia to Bronis (Bunny) Aleksinas and Jacqueline (Jackie) Smith. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Waterbury, Connecticut and from Bunker Hill Community College in Massachusetts with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
During her teenage years Julieanna worked at Frankie's Hot Dogs where her bright smile and warm personality made her well known by all who frequented the popular establishment. She maintained many of those friendships throughout the years. She later went on to work at Diorio Restaurant. Due to her love for the sun and ocean, Julieanna moved to Florida shortly after graduating high school. She returned to Connecticut for a short time and then relocated to Boston where she worked in the restaurant industry while earning her degree. In 1997 she returned to Connecticut when she met her future husband. They remained there for two years and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where they married in 1999.
She was completely devoted to her family and friends. She will be remembered most for her zest for life, as well as her infectious smile. Her ability to create a bond with anyone who crossed her path was endearing and genuine. She will forever be the bright light and common thread that connects all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her husband and daughters, Julieanna is survived by her mother Jacqueline (Jackie) Smith of Waterbury, Connecticut; her father Bronis (Bunny) Aleksinas of Alpharetta, Georgia; sister, Jessica Van Buskirk of Bradenton, Florida, her husband Michael and their two daughters Mia and Joy; brother Benjamin Aleksinas and sister Danielle Skwiot, both of Waterbury, Connecticut. Stepson, Nicolas Wallace, wife Jeana and their two daughters Carley and Elliana. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother Heddy Aleksinas as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her stepfather, James Smith, Paternal grandfather Bronis A. Aleksinas, maternal grandfather Edward Figuiera and maternal grandmother Pearl (DuPont) Figuiera.
Julieanna volunteered for many charities including Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Breast Cancer Awareness, and Suicide Prevention. She was a participating member of North Point Community Church in Alpharetta.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017 at North Point Community Church located at 4350 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, Georgia 30022. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Julieannas service today was so moving. Her friends gave a lasting memory for her family to remember forever. They did an amazing job. I was in awe how the stories had a common thread that summed her up perfectly. She was full of life and always had a smile on her face. Our community lost a great lady! She will live in our hearts forever.

I met Julieanna (Jules) at Kozmo Gastro Pub when it first opened many years ago. It was one of my favorite places to go because I adored the staff, became friends with the owner, Oswald (Oz) and it felt like my "home away from home". Jules was not just a server, she was a friend. She always put herself before others and was an incredibly loving human being. She celebrated many birthdays, divorces, new jobs and every life with me and my crew. We love her so much and will miss her tremendously. We will never forget her big, beautiful smile that radiated any room she walked into. I love you sweet Jules and I will see you again on day.

To the Shedrawy family, you don't know me and my family but when things like this happens we all become family. I've lost many love ones over the years and yes it is hard, but however the love of God will help. So I can only tell you that I'm praying for you and those girls, stay strong and continue to stay focus on the Lord. This will be a long and hard journey but with Prayer God will see you and your family through.

Mark and family, Julie was the light that shined on everyone around her.... It is hard to think of a world without her in it. Her memory will live on in our hearts. When the sun is shining down on you , when you feel the sand between your toes, or the waves rolling in, know that Julie is always with you in spirit, guiding you and loving you...always. I will miss her terribly, but I know someday we will all meet again and we'll see her smiling face again. Love and hugs and prayers to you all, Donna

I will always remember Julie. We worked together and she lived at my house for a while. She was always smiling and fun to be around. She always thought about everyone else. I remember she sent me flowers at my school for my birthday and we went to Diorio's for dinner with a bunch of her friends. I am heartbroken that she was taken so soon. My sincerest condolences to her family.

My deepest sympathies, Julieanna was the most loyal giving friend anyone could ever ask for, and I was so very fortunate to have had her in my life for many years. And in those years, she made sure that her presence was known during some of my lifes greatest trials. She ensured that my family was always cared for and loved. Julieanna always wore her emotions proudly on her sleeve and a smile plainly on her face. She was just the best of everything. I miss her energy already. May all who loved her find peace during this difficult time.

Dear family and friends,
My heart is breaking for your loss; words are so difficult in times like these. I DO KNOW however JESUS LOVES YOU more than you could ever possibly imagine or think and feels your pain along with the rest of His church. He alone can touch you and heal your broken heart and wants so much to do so. He did not cause this; He will be with you always no matter what comes your way.
I read about this tragic incident in the Alpharetta/Milton Patch and was heart sick. I am praying for you and your loved ones. May God Bless You and Keep You as ONLY HE CAN DO Now and Forever. Thanking the Father for the time you had with her; the Glory of The Lord shines all over her face.

When I heard over the news the name Julieanna, I thought there is only one Julieanna. Sadly, I was right. But, in my memories, there IS only one Julieanna. Infectious smile, warm, friendly, bigger than life, memorable. I met her visiting many of the neighboring restaurants. She was like the long lost friend since we were both from the northeast. We would talk as if we had known each other for years. My deepest sympathies to her family. Heaven must have been in great need for an Angel that day. Please know that she touched SO many others with her wonderful attributes. She will me missed by so many...
