Gene Everett Allbert, Sr., age 77 of Jackson, passed away on Sunday morning at his home in Jackson.
Gene was born on July 28, 1940 to the late Sammy Carl and Reba Clenney Allbert. He was the owner and operator of Gene's Tire and Wrecker Service in Jackson.
Other than his parents, he was preceded by his grandson, J.R. Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Flossie Patrick Allbert; children, Gene Allbert, Jr. (Tammy) of Humboldt, Mary Holmes (Van) of Jackson, and Kim Latham (Craig) of Cedar Grove; five grandchildren, Heather Rogers, Dillon Allbert, Brock Latham, Rachel Allbert, and Tucker Latham; three great grandchildren, Constance Strothers, Reagan Lynch, and Evie Allbert; and one brother, Mack Allbert.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers to serve will be Gene Allbert, Jr., Craig Latham, Van Holmes, Jacob Wray, Neal Maners, and Wayne Holmes.
