Gary O. Gott, 69, of Bryan, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at his home in Bryan. Services are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Gary was born January 5, 1948 in Hannibal, MO, the son of Orville R. and Alice M. Norris Gott. The family moved to Bryan, where Gary attended school and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1967. Gary enlisted in the Army and served as an Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice. He was honorably discharged in January of 1972 at the rank of Specialist Five. Gary went on to earn an Associate's Degree and enjoyed a career in construction sales. Although, Gary and Stella were together for years it was not until June of 1998 that they were married. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and working in the garage but his greatest joy was being able to Open Carry a Handgun and spending time with his friends and family.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Alice Gott; his brother Howard Gott and his wife Margaret.
Survivors include his wife Stella; Children, Stephanie Manry & her husband Donnie, Norma Jean Calhoun & her husband Edward Lee, Crystal Pineda & her husband Domingo, Jr., Valentine Vega, Jr., John Frank Adian, Jr. & his wife Stacey, and Aubry Earl Hayden, II; thirteen grandchildren, to include the three that he and Stella are raising; Vincent Ray Vega, Jonathon Kane Vega, and Aubry Earl Hayden, III; a brother Kenneth Gott & his wife Judy; a sister Loraine Nichols & her husband Gene; numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
