Curry Dandridge Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 24, 2017.

Curry N. Dandridge was 86 years old when he went to sleep in Jehovah's memory at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2017. Curry died at the home of a daughter, with his loving family by his side after an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, October 28, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2627 Cottonwood Road, Dothan, AL. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to service time. At other times the family will be at the home of Susan and Kenny Pippin, 1210 Avondale Drive, Dothan.

Curry's faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses was the most important things to him. He believed that if he stayed faithful to his God, Jehovah, it would make his heart glad and should he die he would be safe in his memory. One day Jehovah will resurrect him and he will be reunited with his family.

Curry married the love of his life, Doris, September 14, 1951 and they had four children, Susan, Danny, Margie and Mollie. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on February 1, 1960 at the age of 28.
Curry is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Doris Helen Dandridge who died October 9, 2016.

Survivors include four children, Susan Pippin (Kenny) of Dothan, Danny Dandridge of Zigzag, OR, Margie James (Dan) of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Mollie Grindland (Mark) of Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Summer Benefield (Steve) of Dothan, Loren Pippin (Jade) of Tallahassee, FL, Wendy Dandridge of Ocala, FL, Amanda Dandridge of Zigzag, Oregon, Lacey Carpenter (James) of Oahu, HI, Kara James of Austin, TX, Laura James of Ft. Myers, FL, Jesse Burch of Greenville, SC, Lakin Grindland and Skylar Grindland, both of Navarre, FL; great-grandchildren, Micah Benefield of Dothan, Forest Dandridge and Josh Dandridge, both of Zigzag, OR, Camy Carpenter and Aria Carpenter, both of Oahu, HI; Sierra Burch of Greenville, SC.
