Nancy Holland Alley, 85, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2017. She was born in Stokesdale, NC to Bertha and Leonard Holland. She is predeceased by her parents and four sisters, Gladys Vaughn, Bonnie Hill, Linda Burchette and Jean Freeman.
Nancy was a very private person, however she loved to travel. Nancy would always accompany Dewey on his many business trips around the world. They always traveled with many friends. This would allow Dewey to play rounds of golf while Nancy would shop and enjoy the company of her many traveling friends. In later years Nancy and Dewey took up ball room dancing. This enabled them to travel to New York where they danced in the "Blue Room."
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dewey Alley; her two sons, Joseph Alley (Mary Pat) of Youngsville and Michael Alley (Lisa) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Angela Kite (Brian) and Rachel Boerner (Michael) and great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Kellan Kite and Emily and Jackson Boener. She is also survived by her siblings Frances Whicker, Jack Holland, Joanne Clark, Ruth Brady, Jimmy Holland, Judy White and Grady Holland.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at New Hope Baptist Church, 4301 Louisburg Road, Raleigh NC. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.brownwynne.com

So sorry to hear about your loss. It is a blessing Nancy lived a long life. She remind me of Psalm 90:10, an especially strong individual.
