Raquel Luna, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 23, 2017. She was born to Gregorio and Irene Alonzo on July 9, 1921 in Devers Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Rodolfo Luna; sisters: Rebecca Berry, and Ruth Hebert; brothers: Samuel Alonzo, and Abel Alonzo; and grandson: David Luna Jr. She is survived by her sons: David Luna (Christine) and Rudy Luna Jr. (Beverly); grandchildren: Lorine Luna, Rachel Luna, Katie Luna, and Michael Luna; sister: Anna Ransom; and brother Albert Alonzo.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home 6321 Bandera Rd. The Funeral Procession will depart Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. for a 10:30 Committal Service at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
