Michael David Toner, 51, peacefully passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in Norfolk. He was born to Omar and Diana Toner on June 5, 1966. He graduated from Norview High School in Norfolk in 1984.
Michael devoted most of his life caring for his beloved parents and he had a zest for life and much love and respect for family. He considered his friends as an extended part of his family and especially enjoyed times spent with his best friend, visits from his out of town cousins, or a cup of coffee and some chit-chat at the kitchen table with his family. Not a day went by without a phone conversation with his brother or step-sister. Michael was always dependable and always willing to lend a helping hand.
He will be deeply missed by all those he left behind including his Brother Steven (Karen) Toner of North Carolina, step-sister Mary Lou Jacinto of Virginia Beach, nephews Scott Toner of North Carolina, Chris O'Carroll of Virginia Beach, Thomas O'Carroll of Virginia Beach, niece Leann Toner of North Carolina, three great nieces Katlyn, Kimberly, and Ivy and numerous family members, extended family and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his brother Richard Toner, his sister Paula O'Carroll and his parents Diana and Omar Toner.
Michael had a gentle soul and heart of gold and will long be remembered as a big teddy bear that touched the lives of everyone he met.
