Cynthia Wells Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 26, 2017.

Cynthia Ann Wells, 59, returned to our dear Lord on October 26, 2017. Cynthia was born to Alfred and Veronica Drost on December 31,1957 in Burlington NJ. She is survived by her loving husband, Eddie Wells, daughter Candice Grubb, son Matt Arnwine, brother Joseph Drost, grandchildren Katelyn Cartee, Leah Broome, Makaila Arnwine, Brayden Grubb and countless nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Cynthia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Reedy Creek Ward. While there, she discovered her lifelong passion for Genealogy and Family History Research and was able to trace several of her family lines back many generations. She was a frequent guest speaker for FTDNA, Lay Family Organization, DAR and many others. She also enjoyed spreading the joyous message of Jesus Christ and was set to embark on a two year mission trip with her husband.

Cynthia also enjoyed traveling both domestically and abroad. Her most recent trip brought her to the Holy Land where she toured several ancient sites. Cynthia had a passion for life and always brought out the best in the people she met.

The family will receive visitors at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Charlotte Central Stake Building located at 2500 Rocky River Rd in Charlotte at 11:00am, the service will then follow at 1pm followed by a gravesite service at the Sharon Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest.

Cynthia and I spent many hours researching Eddie's and my Talley ancestors in Halifax County, VA and Chatham County, NC. She had a special talent for putting pieces of the puzzle together. I have never known a more dedicated researcher. Her work ethic, her wonderful personality and her guidance will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to Eddie and family.

Cynthia and I spent many hours walking the lands of Talleys in Halifax County, Virginia and Chatham County, NC in search of my and Eddie's ancestors. She was undoubtedly the most dedicated genealogist that I know. Her guidance, her work ethnic, her friendship and her beautiful personality will be sorely missed. To her family I send my sincere condolences for your lost.

I knew Cynthia from her visits to England and Ireland to help out on ISOGG Stands from 2009, and also from the intersection of our lives through diabetes and human insulin. Back in 1980 I was literally the very first person to take biosynthetic human insulin, as then I worked for Eli Lilly in England. I loved Cynthia's personality and unique style, and she will be one American I will always remember for all the right reasons, as long as I have memory left. Thanks Eddie for letting her come over here, and for allowing her to sprinkle some of her stardust amongst us.

Dear Eddie and family,
Heartbroken at the news of the loss of our dear Cynthia! So privileged to have been with her twice this year: April in NC and then Aug in Sweden. She was beautiful inside and out and I always told her so. She was so humble though and would laugh every time. Her birthday is the day before mine and we always talked about how that made us kindred spirits. I am a better person for knowing her, will miss her terribly, and treasure my memories of her. My deepest sympathy to you and may God ease your pain.
