Carol Ann Arthur, 79, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on October 29, 2017. She was born on December 7, 1937 in Denver, Colorado to the late Jack W. and Gracie Marie Ford (McCarty). Carol graduated from West High School in Phoenix in 1955. She married the love of her life, William D. Arthur on August 21, 1955. They shared 43 years of marriage until his death on March 13, 1999.
Carol had employment at Mountain Bell from 1955-1957 and decided to become a homemaker from 1957 to 1973. Carol most recently worked as a supply room supervisor at the Arizona State Senate from 1973-2003, a total of 30 years. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi from 1969-2001. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle, Arthur Rummy and Poker. She loved to shop, and donate her time doing volunteer work. The most important thing to her though was her family.
Carol is survived by her children Laureen (Jeff) Weiss, Cindy Schuff, Randy (Chris) Arthur, grandchildren Brandon (Claudia) Weiss, Alyssa (Dave) Joss, Shawna (Robb) Waldrep, Leah (Jon) Litty, Ryan (Rosemary) Schuff, Tyler Delgado, Austin Arthur, Bailey Arthur, great-grandchildren Landon Joss, Evan Waldrep, Paris Waldrep, Aiden Waldrep, McKenzie Litty, Logan Litty, Ali Schuff, Mirage Schuff, Jayden Schuff, her sister Tracy Waggoner, nephews Steven (Leanne) Waggoner and Ken (Marnie) Richardson, niece Kimberlee Waggoner, and many other dear sister & brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Arthur (Billy) and her sister, Kathleen Anderson (Kitty).
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00AM at Resthaven Park Cemetery and, officiated by Pastor Steve Lingenfelter; 6450 W. Northern Avenue Glendale, Arizona 85301.
