Gloria B. Mackin, age 91, formerly of Spring Hill, Florida, died on October 31, 2017 in Melville, NY. Gloria was a resident of Spring Hill from 1985 coming from Bethpage, NY, along with her husband William L. Mackin. Gloria was born on June 3, 1926, in the Bronx, NY, to the late Sylvester and Emma (Kruckeberg) Birdsall. Gloria was a devout Catholic and member of St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, in Spring Hill, and was a home maker. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; and, her husband William, in 2009. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Sharon (husband Charles), son, Clifford (wife Rosalie), sister-in-law, Donna Marie Wilson, and nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements and care have been entrusted to both the M.A.Connell FH, Huntington Station, NY and the Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 6-8 pm. A Wake Service will be held at 7 pm Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 11am. Fr. Paul Stiene, will officiate. Deacon James McMahon will conduct the committal services at Florida Hill Memorial Gardens in Spring Hill, where Gloria will be laid to rest with William.

Our hearts are with you, Sharon and Cliff. I have known your mom since we were 13 and she was always such a kind and gracious person. She is at peace now and once again reunited with your dad. She will always be with you, watching over and in your hearts forever. May God be with you at this time of deep sorrow.
