Bettie was a gifted floral designer who served as a mentor to many of the Grapevine Garden Club members. As a member of the executive committee, Bettie was an inspiration to me during my term as president. Generous, kind and a gracious hostess! When I saw the McPherson Farmhouse being moved this spring it conjured up many memories of Bettie and garden club events. So, I wrote an article about her in the June newsletter available at www.grapevinegardenclub.org - publications. Joetta King

We are saddened to hear of dear Bettie's passing. Bettie and John were always two of my parent's favorite people. They had so many great times together. Bettie was definitely a treasure and we are so glad we had the chance to know and love her. May God bless you with peace and comfort during the days ahead.

Blessings to all who mourn Bettie's passing. We will remember her as a wonderful Christian lady. She possessed great floral design skills and graciously assisted Reid win a blue ribbon at the Tarrant County flower show. That was his first and only entry and Bettie will always be remembered for her encouragement and advice.
May the Good Lord bless and keep you,
Reid and Lora Jones, Grapevine
