Dear Avery family- My condolences and sympathy to all of you. I regret not being able to attend the funeral of this fine man due to illness. I remember Brother Avery way back to 1959 and all through my childhood in the Annapolis Branch. Brother Avery was so kind to me and very outgoing. I remember many times while in Annapolis waving to him as he walked on the streets for his mail route. Always smiling and waving back. He will be missed but I will always remember him.

Cara, Having known Carl was a blessing. He was a wonderful husband to you, a great dad to Elena (and his three older ones) and a special cousin to my boys. He was special to so many, and loved by all who knew him.
