Lean was the Sweetest man.. He was my father in law, Bert Fleniken's best friend. I listened to Leon tell each time he came in to my office how he and bert got drafted together. They entered the war together and sent on the same plane and then ship together. They both were stationed at the same place. They both went to the university of Hawaii together. They were placed on the same job and both were on the same ship when it was hit in pearl harbor. Mr Berryhill tells that when ship was hit, they both landed in the water together and held onto a ice chestuntil they were rescued. When the time came for them to be discharged, they were release the same time and both came back to Nacogdoches together to have breakfast with Bert's mom. Ma Percy. Bert and Leon double dated and found the best wives to share many years with. They both worked at Nobco together. I know the reunion in heaven is awesome for those two life long friends. He called him a brother, not a friend. Going to miss him>>>
