Marion Louise King Carey, 89, of Henrico, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Earle V. Carey; sister, Rosemary Violet King; and brothers, William and Jimmy King. Marion was a former member of East Hialeah Baptist Church in Florida and became a member of Varina Baptist Church when it opened in 1967. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lynn Carey Dykes (Robert) and Albert S. Carey (Maxine); grandchildren, Katherine, Jennifer, Kristine, Heather, Melanie, Amy, and Samantha; great grandchildren, Alexis, Amber, and J.R.; siblings, Thomas King (Fay) and Margaret King; niece, Karen Saffy (Mark), and great niece, Allison. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 9, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.

moms you are going to be missed so much. you can now rest with the angels. me and jerry loved you with all our hearts. you are our angel along with both of our parents. watch over us wit the love you always had. and i will be besides lynn side to help her coop i promise. am not going to say good bye but till we see each other again. love you moms
