A much loved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, ETHEL DEAN NAMBU was born to Haymaker and Jennie Hall Estill on November 7, 1928 in a farmhouse near Armstrong, Missouri. Ethel has one younger brother, Wendell Hall Estill. Ethel finished her studies at William Jewell College in Missouri and then Northern Baptist Seminary in Chicago, where she met her husband Masaru Nambu. In Chicago, she worked for some years as a caseworker for the Cook County Department of Public Aid until Jonathan and Andrew were born. Years later when their sons were older, she worked at the Commerce Clearing House. The past 10 years, she and Masaru lived in Massachusetts near Andrew and his family. Ethel is survived by her husband Masaru, sons Jonathan and Andrew Dean, daughters-in-law Thelma and Nellie, and grandchildren Christian and Katrinka.
