Mary Sue Iverstine, 77, of Hammond, Louisiana (formerly of Crossroads), died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by family.

Mrs. Iverstine was born April 6, 1940 in Poplarville, Mississippi to Joseph Houston Amacker and Ladette Wheat Amacker. She was a retired hairstylist and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Her parents precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Dave J. Iverstine; three children, Michael W. Gill, Richard W. Iverstine, Evelyn M. Raxdale; five siblings, Hueylene Winstead, Dolly Ruth Bedwell, William Thomas "W.T." Amacker, Edward Bryan "Butch" Amacker, Patrick Hugh "Pat" Amacker; six grandchilden, Michael Lee Gill, Aaron Michael Relan, Marc Forbes, Holly Lynn Raxdale, Austin Iverstine, Ashley Thurston; Michael Lee Gill, Jr., and six great grandchildren, Jax Relan, Liam Relan, Lean Relan, Abigail Thurston, Rilley Thurston.

Funeral services will be at BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH, 7451 Highway 43 North, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Rev. David O'Quin and Rev. Billy Kent Smith will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation two hours prior to the service, Wednesday at the church.
