Helen Powell Justus was born on April 18, 1917 in Goodnight, Texas to James and Rebecca Reed. She loved spending time with her family. She was a house parent for many years at Amarillo Children's Home. She enjoyed dancing whether it was country western dancing or square dancing. She like watching the Texas Rangers play baseball. She enjoyed bowling and playing dominos.
She was preceded in death by her husband's Vinnnet Powell and Odell Justus and a daughter Clara Jane along with eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her grandchildren Cindi Kinzer and Bill; Johnny Carrell; Charley Carrell and Lea; Helen Carrell and Will; Beth Martin and James. Great grandchildren Joshua and Mim; Randi and Mike; Jeff; Damian and Patricia; Garth; Kyle and Cheryl; Stephen; LaDonna and Ashton.

Helen Christine Reed Oswald, Niece. Visited Aunt Helen many times and overnight about two years ago. she was watching Texas Rangers play when we arrived and was ready to go out for a hamburger when the game ended. My daughter, Christine was with me. Good memories Aunt Helen.
