Russell L. Edens, 89, of Charleston, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 9, 2017.
He was born on Oct. 12, 1928 in Kanawha Co. WV, a son of the late Lawrence and Pinnie Edens. He worked stateside during WWII as a Weather Observer for the US Army. He retired from the US Postal Service with over 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marieda; one daughter, Vicki Bowling and her husband, Robert, of St. Albans; one son, Gerry Edens of Indian Trail, NC; six grandchildren, Scott, Bruce, Kayla, Mallory, Stacy, and Rob; six great-grandchildren; and a large, extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Russell L. “Rusty” Edens, Jr. and his eight siblings.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
