Calvin "Cal" E. Wrisley, Jr., of Williamsburg, passed away November 9, 2017 at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Dean Wrisley; his parents Calvin E. and Zetta Hamilton Wrisley; his brother, Paul Wrisley; and younger sister, Sheila.
In his early years, Cal really loved school. He enjoyed reading; particularly thrillers and suspense and dancing. He loved adventure and enjoyed late model stunt car driving in his 20's and 30's. With this gift, he worked with the King Kovaz Daredevils, stunting for various television shows such as "The Untouchables" and "Ben Casey". He was an accomplished crash artist doing high speed rolls, the fiery battering ram and his world famous "Human Run Over" act. In later years, he married the love of his life in May of '94, he was her care taker until her passing in 2010. He was also a member of the Virginia State Golf Association, volunteering yearly at the Kings Mill golf tournaments and enjoying at various courses to play at.
Cal is survived by a son, his step-daughter, Denise and her two children, Austin and Lyndsey Tadych; his sister, Zetta McCormick; sister-in-law, Faye Smith and her husband, Richard, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank his special friends, Catherine Laarhoven and her two kids, T.J. and Julia; Sam and Karen Wulfeck; as well as Joe Benedetti from Faith in Action; for their company, care and friendship to Cal.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 18 from 1:00PM-3:00PM; followed by a service at 3:00PM at the Nelsen Funeral Home Chapel, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg 23188.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cal's memory may be made to the Williamsburg Faith in Action354 McLaws Cir, Ste 2, Williamsburg VA 23185 or http://wfia.org/donate/ .

My deepest sympathy to you Zetta and the rest of the family.
He was a good friend and I remember the times we spent together over the years. I just wished I had kept in touch with him via email.

Cal we spent 81 years as brother and sister even tho we were unable to see each other very often we were still connected. You will be missed but you are now with Mary rest in peace. love Zetta

Uncle Cal, you will be truly missed. I loved the time we went to see you & Uncle Paul as Daredevils. It left such a lasting impression. Sending condolences to his family & friends. Rest in peace.
