Nancy Maria Pisani passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017. She was born Annunziata Maria Baldocchi on January 3, 1921 in Pieve San Paulo, Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. Nancy went by many names : "Nunciatina" as a child in Italy, Nancy, Nan, Hon, Mom, Nonna, & Bisnonna. When she was six months old her father left for San Francisco. She & her mom were unable to join him for seven years because his father had a stroke and Nancy's mother stayed to care for her father-in-law until he passed away. When they arrived in SF they became socially involved with a family they knew from around the corner in Italy & that is where she met Enzo ( also 7 yrs old!) , the love of her life! On August 4, 1946 they married and together they had two children- Denise (Larry O'Shea) and Gary and 3 grandsons, Brian ( Nicole) O'Shea, Stephen ( Mandy) O'Shea, and Andrew( Nicole) O'Shea and their great-grandson, Aiden O'Shea. She went to Presidio Jr High & Washington High Schools in SF. Her class was one of the first thru the new school and picked the school colors. She had the "sweater girl", Lana Turner in her class.
Nancy and Enzo were fabulous dancers. Music & dancing were always a big part of all their family gatherings . Nancy was also a fantastic cook, especially of all things Lucchessi & she loved having her Sunday night family dinners where much of the meals came from their vegetable garden just a few feet outside their kitchen!
She was a parishioner of Our Lady Of Loretto for over 47 yrs and thoroughly enjoyed all the gatherings of their friends -many of which were through the ICF. In her later years, she (like her mom) also spent many years caring for her aunt & both her parents. In the last 6 yrs Nancy was blessed to have dear friends that she met three days a week at Creekside Bakery in Novato. Truly a special group of women that were great friends to her until the end.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Loretto on Monday, November 20th at 10:30 AM. Reception to follow the mass at Valley Memorial Cemetery.

There is a hole in my heart with the loss of my cousin, Nancy. She was a special lady and I am glad that I had the honor of regularly having lunch with her & Denise several times a year. We shared many stories which will always remain in my heart. I'll miss you Nancy and the half french toast, fruit on the side and jelly instead of syrup! Condolences and love to the O'Shea family.

I am so sorry for your loss, Denise. I remember your Mom as a lot of fun and full of life. She had a great sense of humor. Mom and Dad really enjoyed their time with both your parents.
love and condolences to you and your family.
