John Frederick Hopp, born October, 2nd, 1945 in Maspeth, NY, passed away October 25, 2017 in Flat Rock, NC.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy P.S. Hopp, whom he married on June 8th, 1985. Also surviving are his sister, Barbra Hopp & family; children, Christina McCloy, David Shively, James Shively, Kimberly Hopp and Michelle Hopp; grandchildren, Kaylie Gibbons, Dylan Hopp, Vanessa Gibbons, Maranda Gibbons, Johnathan Hopp, Hunter Shively, Kenneth “KC” Gibbons, Gretchen McCloy, Lauren McCloy, Ashlyn Shively and Logan Floyd.
He was the owner of Fred’s Auto Body 1965-1999 located at 1772 Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater, FL. 33755 and Spirit of The Mountain Lodge (Vacation Rental) from 1999- Current located at 1475 Smokey Cove Rd. in Whittier, NC. 28789.
A Celebration of John's Life will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the Grand Oaks Hall of Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL.
