Maxine Singletary Thompson, 98, departed this world on Friday, November 10, 2017. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home, Monday, November 13, 2017 beginning at 1 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Thompson, a resident of Pearl, MS, was a member of McLaurin Heights Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Thompson, Sr.; two brothers,Hale Singletary and James Singletary, Sr.; two sisters, Velma Runnels and Levern Brown.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by son James F. Thompson, Jr. (Carol); daughter, Marveen T. Bass (Paul), 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren with another soon to be born.
