Nellie Ruth Roberts, 86, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Nellie was born on October 25, 1931 in Boone County, MO the daughter of Clarence Leslie and Lola Frances (Martin) Warren who preceded her in death. She was married on August 28, 1951 in Columbia, MO to Kenneth Earl Roberts who preceded her in death on June 30, 2000. Her and her husband owned and operated R&W Refrigeration and Heating, Incorporated.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She touched everyone she ever met. She loved to travel, dance, garden, read, solve crossword puzzles, spend time with her sisters and the rest of her family. Her journey in this life has ended but in life everlasting it is just beginning.
Survivors include: one daughter, Leslie Canole (Ron) of Columbia, MO; one sister, Allene Davidson; six grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by one son, David Roberts and two sisters, Jean Smith and Marjorie Wayland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Church, 1100 N 7th Street, Columbia, MO 65201.
