Ronnie Brooks, 79, of Wolfforth, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, November 9, at Covenant Medical Center, surrounded by his family that he loved.

Ronnie was born October 2, 1938 to Neely and Elsie Brooks of Tahoka, where he graduated High School, continuing on to Texas Tech.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Venita Shipley Brooks; children, Ricky Brooks and wife Becca of Welch; Kimmy Hayes and husband Tommy of Lubbock; grandchildren, Trey Hayes and wife Rebecca, Tye Hayes and wife Kara, Wendy Teeter and husband Clay, Holly Cotten and husband Casey, all of Lubbock and six great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Joe Brooks and wife Jerry, Neely Brooks, Jr. and wife Donna, and Gary Brooks all of Tahoka, and many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard all of Tahoka.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Graveside services were held at Resthaven Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
