Elsie M. Delaplane, age 76 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 9:20 PM Tuesday November 14, 2017 at Rest Haven Nursing Home Greenville. She was born October 28, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois and the daughter of the late William and Mary Louise (Martin) Malinas.
Elsie was retired having worked in accounting and as an office manager.
She was a 1959 graduate of Greenville High School, a member of the Jan Hagara Collectors Club and the Mid-Ohio Collectors Club, an accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed sewing for her 2 sisters and her 8 nieces and nephews whom she was very close with. She also enjoyed traveling to numerous family reunions.
Elsie is survived by her sisters and brother in law Judy (Alan) McElwain of Meadville, PA and Jacque Curran of Greenville, eight nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to State of the Heart Care of Darke County, Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.

I am so very sad to read of my cousin's passing. Elsie Mae was always kind and thoughtful and she holds a special place in my heart. We enjoyed many family gatherings from childhood to recent years. Rest in Peace.
