Edna Jackson Cronin, 80, of Monroe, who was a very special angel, entered heaven on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Heartland of Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late William Daniel Cronin.
Born In Monroe on September 11, 1937 she was a daughter of the late William Riley Jackson and the late Annie Jennings Jackson.
She was preceded in death by three half-sisters, Mae H. Campbell, Alene H. Campbell, Maude Graham; and one half-brother, Charles D. Harris.
Edna worked for many years at Old Dominion Box Company before retiring from Hill City Foot Care. She was a member of Monroe Church of God, where she loved her church family dearly. She also had a love for music, poetry, and loved spending time with her own family who she cherished very much.
Survivors include a sister, Marlene J. Wilmer; a step-son, Joseph M. Cronin; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the funeral home.
