Peggy Wells Hohorst, 86, of Little River, SC, formerly of Raleigh, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Transitions Lifecare Hospice in Raleigh.
Peggy was born June 30, 1931 in Angier, NC to the late Charlie Thomas Walker and Vera Fish Walker. She was an avid golfer and was a long time member of Raleigh Country Club and River Hills Golf Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredi Hohorst.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Susan Jessup and husband, Mitch and Angela Altice and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Daniel Jessup and Angela Jessup; brother, Isaac Walker; sisters, Libby Philpott and Doris Peters.
The family will receive friends 6-8pm Monday, November 20, 2017 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502.
Memorials may be made to Transitions Lifecare Hospice, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.

Just wanted to send our condolences to Peggy's family. Knew Peggy for many years and know that she is now in a better place. Also with her former husband Fredi. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Thinking of you at this sad time.

Peggy was not only a wonderful mother to Susan & Angela, she took care of the neighborhood kids and kept us on the right path. She was loved more than she'll ever know and will be missed always.
