Deronda Kaye Morris Spiller, 69, of Evington, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Guggenheimer Nursing Home. She was the devoted wife of James T. "Tom" Spiller for forty-one years.
Born April 13, 1948 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Wallace O. and Ann Wilson Morris. Deronda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her husband, Deronda is survived by two sons, Larry Allen Chewning of Campbell County and Jeffrey Morris Chewning of Charleston, SC; a daughter Hillary S. Blythe Suwyn and husband Jeff of Hockison, DE; a brother, Robert Wright and wife Carolyn of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Cole, Chase, and Hayden Suwyn and a devoted cousin, Stephanie Stump.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Dr. Derik Hamby officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
