Victor Allen Simon, 62, of LeClaire passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, November 25, 2017 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Memorials may be made to Scott County Humane Society. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. He was born July 8, 1955 to John and Dorothy Simon. Victor was united in marriage to Cynthia Doeppke on November 3, 1978. Victor was an extremely hard worker and the more he could accomplish in one day the better. He was a top notch mechanic on car, boats and semi-trucks. His strong work ethic has been passed on to his three sons. Victor always looked forward to the great vacations he took with his family visiting a small cabin on the water in Upper Peninsula. During that time he and his children would enjoy waterskiing. Victor and his lifelong friends cherished their friendships. He loved life, living it to the fullest. Vic was a son, husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather, friend, cousin and nephew to many who loved him. He adored his children and grandchildren and loved to spoil them. Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of 39 years; children: Chad (Lisa) Simon, Chris (Jill) Simon and Craig (Tabitha) Simon; grandchildren: Leah, Jessica, Ava, Kodi, Tyler, Stephanie, Krista, Jenna, Jordyn, Zoe, Falcon, Ashlyn and Addison; Craig's goddaughter, McKenzie who was very special to Vic; siblings and their families: James Simon, Tony Simon and Corinne Amstadt; and his little dog friend, Sam who was at his side always.
