Elsa R. Josten, 96, of Old Saybrook, wife of the late Henry Josten, passed away peacefully on Monday November 20, 2017 at Apple Rehab in Old Saybrook, CT. Born in Vald, Germany on October 13, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Emma Fernholz Rehrman. Elsa was a reported at the Hartford Courant and late worked along with her husband at Curtis Johnson Publications for many years. She was a member of the Board of Education in Deep River and traveled the world with her husband Henry. She is survived by a daughter Madeline Stanley of Mystic; three grandchildren Jay Stanley of New London, Caroline Wallace of Old Lyme and Eric Stanley of New Britain and five great granddaughters. Burial will be private.
