Salvatore (Sam) Tumino, age 81 went to be with the Lord on Friday November 17, 2017 at 1:40am in Redding, California.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Maria (Brugaletta) Tumino, his sons, John Tumino, David Tumino, and Daniel Tumino and his daughter Melissa Tumino. And his 3 daughter-in-laws and 8 grandchildren; two sister and many other close family members.
He is now in heaven with his mother, father, uncle, and brother.
He was born October 20, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the first child of Giovanni Tumino and Emanuela Molé.
In his early years, Sam grew up in New York and gave his heart to the Lord. In 1947 he went back to Italy with his family. At the age of 17 he returned to New York to live and work with his uncle Vincent. At age 26 he met Maria in Italy and they wed on July 9th 1964. They moved back to New York.
Sam and his wife then moved to California where he became a real estate developer in L.A County. His passion for building grew as he built apartment complexes throughout the coastal cities. In 1967 his first son John was born there.
In the 70's Sam ventured north and ended up in Red Bluff, Ca and Redding, Ca with his extended family. There his family grew with two more sons and a daughter. He loved to gather all the family together and host large events. Sam kept building apartments and went into commercial properties in the 80's and even invested in properties in Texas 2007.
Sam was a wonderful husband, father, brother, friend and lover of God. He will be greatly missed but we rejoice in the fact that he is with the Lord in heaven, experiencing perfect love, joy and peace.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1st at 1pm at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff, Ca.
