Adeline graduated from Plant High School and from the first class of Florida State University f/k/a Florida College for Women where she earned a degree in business administration. She met her soul mate, Manuel, while both were in college. There is a street brick in Ybor City with both their names inscribed to memorize their first date. Both were children of first generation immigrants.
Adeline epitomized the role during an era "where behind every great man stands a strong and devoted woman". During their 55-year marriage, they lived in three countries and seven cities while Manuel pursued a successful business career. She never missed a ball game, swimming meet, or debate competition of her kids. She was a world-class mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. All of Manuel and Adeline's financial treasures have been left to the Garcia Family Foundation to support military veterans, at-risk youth, and organizations that promote free markets, civil liberties and opportunities for others to live the American dream they lived together.
Adeline was predeceased by her beloved husband, Manuel. Survivors include her brother, Andrew Ynes; her children: Marshall Garcia, Martin Garcia (Kennedy), Myrna Haag (Gary); her grandchildren: Candace Rich (Jeff), Gates Garcia (Kelly), Garrett Garcia (Lucy), Brittany Lee Garcia, Domonique Garcia, Samantha Haag and Gavin Haag; and her great-grandchildren: Rocco, Grace, Adeline and Deacon.
