Jim passed away on November 23rd at his home. He is survived by the love of his life, Marie, his wife of 42 years along with two children, His son, Sean O'Neill and wife Suzanne live in Lowell, Massachusetts and his daughter, Amanda and her husband Jared Lutrus reside in Milwaukee, Oregon with their daughter and Jim's cherished granddaughter, Vera Lynn.
Born and raised in the Boston, Massachusetts area, Jim was a proud member of the United States Army Rangers. He served bravely in Vietnam, where exposure to Agent Orange led to a series of significant health challenges. Jim worked professionally as a construction estimator. He and Marie relocated to Texas in 2007.
Jim loved many things in his life, from music (Cat Stevens, Blood, Sweat and Tears) to fishing and astronomy but after his family perhaps what he was most passionate about was his beloved New England Patriots football team. Jim followed his team closely and relished in their success.
He also enjoyed life's simple pleasures: a ride in the car with Marie or a walk through the neighborhood where he was always ready to chat with people he'd encounter, often entertaining them with a quick-witted, endearing comment. He was always willing to help more than he asked for help.
Jim had strong Faith and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church.
Jim requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: The Disabled American Veterans organization, www.dav.org

Gary Comoletti
Hi Marie, Gary & Judy Comoletti.
Just heard this past weekend about Jimmy, so sorry to hear. We had some great memories growing up and hanging out at the Hilltop. Every time I pass by the Monatiquet river behind Graziano concrete that goes out under Commercial St and empties into Weymouth landing, "I think of Jimmy". Him and I used to take the empty cement tubs from Grazianos and float down the river to where it went under Commercial St. We stopped there because it dropped into the harbor. Sooooo sad.
If you are up this way please give us a call, we would love to get together. We are still in Braintree, same house. Our number is searchable (Judy is on Facebook) or reach out to Gail Marini (Haskell), Judy's sister in Law. BTW her husband Ken just passed last Sept as well.
