Robert Dan McRee Jr, Age 83 of Lubbock, TX passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
He was born in Houston, TX on September 7, 1934 to the late Robert Sr. and Lucille McRee.
He married Lana Gass on December 14, 1986.
Robert had a career as a butcher with Furr's and as a car salesman. He was a member of the band Country Count Down and had a passion for music. He had an outreach ministry that served seven calendar nursing homes and was a song leader for Heart of Worship on Wednesday nights.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cathy McRee; son, Stacy McRee; Sister, Virginia McRee and brothers, Richard, Ben and Jimmy McRee.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lana; Son, Robert Dan McRee III; Daughters: Bridget Brown, Sheryl McRee, Pam Anderson, Telicia Zahn, Peigh McCreary and Andrea Eddy; step-daughter, Shelly Howard; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Gatewood; brothers, William, Tommy and Larkin McRee and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28th from 6-8 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 29th at 2 pm at Heart of Worship Baptist Church with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

I did not know Uncle Robert had passed. I'm so sorry, Lana and the rest of the family. I always loved Uncle Robert and have such sweet memories of him coming down to fish with the other uncles and Aunt Alice and playing music and singing with Uncle Ben. Sending prayers for you all.
