Charles Owen Fuller left his family and this life to be with the Lord on Friday, November 24, 2017. He was a loving husband, Daddy and PaPaw. He was a Christian and a member of Flint River Baptist Church in Meridianville, Al. Born in Russellville, Al, he was preceded in death by his father Lester Owen Fuller of Russellville, Al, his mother, Flossie Messer and step father Homer D. Messer of Huntsville, Al, sister Betty Jo Smith and brother-in-law Jimmy L. Smith of Russellville,Al.
Charles served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He joined the Huntsville Police Department in February 1975, and retired after 25 years of service. He loved fishing, helping family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Colleene Kay (Stephens) Fuller, son Michael Alan Owen Fuller (Danica), Loveland, Ohio, daughter Kelly Jo Fuller, Madison, Al, grandsons, Tyrell Owen Fuller, Kayden Alan Fuller, granddaughters Samara and Zoey Fuller, special nephews Rodney and Wayne Smith of Russellville, Al and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 – 2pm Monday, November 27, funeral services following at 2:00pm with Rev. Tony Billions officiating. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to North Alabama Hospice Care or your favorite charity.

To the Fuller Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
