Alton Edward Halfmann, 84, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral: 10:00 am Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Arlington), followed by interment at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:15 pm.
Alton was born December 12, 1932 in Orange Grove, TX to Leo William and Sophie Marie (Boehm) Halfmann. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with the 2nd Armored Division in Wiesbaden, Germany. After years of dedication he retired from Frito-Lay in 1995. Alton was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their Men's Club and also the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #2114 in Arlington.
Alton was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Brian and brother Lee Allen.
Survivors: his wife Della; daughter Marlene Poydock (Randy); sons Steven Halfmann (Darlene), Duane Halfmann (Lori); and stepsons Clint Millican (Cheryl), Doug Millican (Janice); 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Bernice Fuchs, Charlene Matthiesen (Arnold), JoAnn Halfmann (Leon); and brother Delbert Halmann (Jeannie).
