Gertrude Alexander, 80, of North Charleston, SC, passed away peacefully at home on November 26th, 2017. Gertrude was born in Scranton, SC on March 6th, 1937 to Julian and Cora Wise Sheider. She was a beloved Mother and Grandmother. Her hobbies included cooking, fishing, gardening and taken care of her beloved dogs. Gertrude is survived by her children, Robert Williams, John Williams, Richard Alexander Jr, Mary Ann Hollman, Yvonne Meeks, and Eva Bartlett, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard David Alexander Sr., and her daughter Lenora Ann Roberts. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on November 30th, 2017 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. With a visitation held from 10 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Carolina Memorial Park. Messages of condolences may be left online at www.carolinamemorial.com
