~ Davie Glenn Hunt
Davie Glenn Hunt age 53 passed away at his residence in Jackson, Tennessee on Friday, November 24, 2017 after an extended illness. Davie was born in Savannah on November 19, 1964; the son of the late David Lewis Hunt and Joyce White Wesson.
Davie was a 1984 graduate of Hardin County High School in Savannah where he thrived in chorus. He attended John A. Gupton College of Funeral Service and Volunteer State in Nashville, Tennessee. Davie was an award winning floral designer who enjoyed a long career as a General Manager for Metro Wholesale in Nashville, Tennessee. Davie also enjoyed his work in floral design with George A. Smith and Sons in Jackson, Tennessee.
Davie will be remembered for his generous spirit, his giving nature and his love of the human spirit.
Davie is survived by his sister, Angela Joyce Wesson, brothers, Larry Hunt, Gary Hunt and Travis Hunt, his Step father, Clarence Wesson and his "Fur Baby" … Thimble.
Graveside services were conducted on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens in Savannah, Tennessee. Memorials may be directed to the Jackson-Madison County Humane Society, 23 Pinnacle Dr, Jackson, TN 38301
Arrangements are under the direction of George A. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2812 North Highland Avenue, Jackson, TN. 38305.
